To celebrate the launch of our NSW Sub-Committee we are putting on a free event where you will be able to enjoy a relaxed afternoon of networking and laughs with fellow members of the Women in Aviation Australian Chapters aviation/aerospace community as you are guided through creating your very own canvas painting.

This event is 18 plus only and has limited spots available - your registration is essential.

Some light snacks will be provided, but the venue is BYO food and sips!

This event is 18 plus only and has limited spots available - your registration is essential.

This event is open to both current members and non-members - so, if you are a fellow aviation/aerospace enthusiast, professional, or student and want to meet other women from the industry, come and join us.

GIAD 2022 Darwin | Larrakia Nation is proudly hosted by WAI Australian Chapter and the Territory Aviation Skills Centre (TASC)

Join thousands of girls from across the globe in participating in a Women in Aviation – International trademarked Girls in Aviation Day event.

The day is an opportunity to explore the exciting careers available in the aviation/aerospace industry such as engineers, aircraft maintenance technicians, pilots, operational staff, air traffic controllers, just to name a few.

This GIAD event will take place in a real aviation hangar environment, where you will be able to get up close to aircraft and equipment.  The day will be filled with career inspiration and will be supported by amazing role models.

What’s included:

  • Light  lunch
  • GIAD kit filled with resources and activities
  • Access to aircraft and equipment
  • Access to incredible women from the industry

Who is it for :

Girls ages 8 to 17 years to introduce them to the many aviation career possibilities. (Primary ticket reserves are for this)

School teachers/Career counselors or Parents/Guardians of the children or students attending who, wish to gain information on how to support a child in pursuing a career in aviation. (Limited ticket reserves for this category)

Cost: Free – Registration prior to the event is essential as spots are limited.

Biennial Conference

The aim of the national conference is to provide attendees with vital information and resources from various facets of the industry, and more importunately, provide an interactive environment for attendees to connect and network with leaders from within the aviation and aerospace industry.

Hosted across various locations the conference will connect, engage and inspire those attending.

Emerging Leaders Forum (EML)

The EML brings together the next generation of aviation professionals alongside innovative speakers and leaders of today’s industry.  This forum is designed to cultivate innovative ideas in our youth, share career pathway information and provide support networks into the aviation aerospace and space sectors through collaboration and interactive discussion and mentoring opportunities with current leaders in their fields.

It is avenue for debate, innovation and education to help the next generation of aviation and aerospace leaders to connect, engage and be inspired.

The EML forums are hosted across Australia throughout the year, in both regional and city locations.
